Tutorial Book for Advanced Storage Network v3.0.x. Refer to the in-game tutorial book if this is not the version you're looking for.

Tutorial Book ×

Storage Network

-A network of devices that can hold an infinite amount of items.

-Comprises one storage core and any number of storage drives. Can also contain many other optional devices.

-Devices in the network must be placed next to each other or be connected with storage cables.

-To get started, you will need one storage core, one storage drive, one storage disk, and one storage interface or wireless storage interface. Read their respective tutorial entries for more information.

Close

Storage Core

-The core of a storage network.

-Required for a storage network to function.

-Only one of these blocks exists in a network.

Close

Storage Drive

-Holds up to eight storage disks. Disks are what actually store the network's items.

Close

Storage Interface

-Allows players to add, remove, or view items in a storage network.

Close

Storage Import Bus

-Imports items from the container it's facing into the storage network.

-Stops importing when receiving a redstone current.

Close

Storage Export Bus

-Exports items from the storage network into the container it's facing.

-More filter options are available when exporting an item that is enchantable or breakable.

-Stops exporting when receiving a redstone current.

-Interact with an empty hand to configure.

Close

Storage Level Emitter

-Compares the total amount of a chosen item in the storage network against a set amount using an operator.

-More filter options are available when testing an item that is enchantable or breakable.

-Emits a redstone signal from the face it points toward when the test is true.

-Interact with an empty hand to configure.

Close

Autocrafter

-Automatically crafts an item using ingredients stored in the storage network, then adds the result back into the network.

-Interact while holding an item to set the recipe to craft that item. If the item has more than one recipe, you can choose which one to use.

-Interact with an empty hand to see what it is crafting, or to change the recipe.

-Only crafts when every ingredient is available in the network and there is room to store the result.

-Stops crafting when receiving a redstone current.

Close

Storage Relay

-Connects storage network devices over long distances.

-Interact to assign the relay to a namespace.

-Connects to all other relays in the same namespace.

-Has infinite range and works interdimensionally.

Close

Storage Power Bank

-Stores energy for the network.

-Each power bank holds up to 6,400 energy.

Close

Storage Wireless Transmitter

-Allows a wireless storage interface to connect to a network.

-The default range is 500 blocks, this can be changed with the 'wirelessInterfaceRange' rule. See Add-On Configuration for more information.

Close

Wireless Storage Interface

-Allows players to add, remove, or view items in a storage network wirelessly.

-Interact with a storage core while holding this item to link it to that network.

-There must be a storage wireless transmitter connected to the linked network in range (500 blocks by default) to use the wireless interface. The range can be changed using the 'wirelessInterfaceRange' rule. See Add-On Configuration for more information.

-When energy usage is enabled, it consumes energy each time you use it to open a network, so it must be charged first.

-This add-on does not add a way to charge it. Charge it using a Bedrock Energistics Core charger from another add-on.

Close

Storage Disks

-A standard storage disk stores up to 32 item stacks. A high capacity storage disk stores up to 64.

-Put storage disks in a storage drive.

-Upgrade a standard storage disk into a high capacity one with the Disk Upgrader, keeping its stored items.

Close

Disk Upgrader

-Upgrades a standard storage disk or a standard fluid storage disk into its high capacity version without losing its stored contents.

-Works like a crafting table: arrange the ingredients in the 3x3 grid, then take the upgraded disk from the output slot.

-To upgrade a standard storage disk, place it in the center with quartz on the four edges and blaze powder in the four corners.

-Requires energy to run, unless energy usage is disabled with the 'useEnergy' rule. Uses Bedrock Energistics Core energy. See the Energy and Add-On Configuration entries for more information.

-Break the machine to drop any items still inside it.

Close

Add-On Configuration

-Use the '/asnrule <rule> [value]' command to change a rule.

-Use the '/asnrule help' command for a list of rules.

-Omit '[value]' from the command to get the current value of the rule.

-Note that numbers must be surrounded in quotation marks when passed to 'value' (eg. "123" instead of 123).

Close

Energy

-Energy usage is enabled by default, but can be disabled with the 'useEnergy' rule. See Add-On Configuration for more information.

-Energy is stored in Storage Power Bank blocks.

-Network energy consumption is determined by the amount of devices connected to the network. Device energy consumption can be changed using the 'deviceEnergyConsumption' rule. See Add-On Configuration for more information.

-Uses Bedrock Energistics Core energy.

-This add-on does not add any power generators, you must include another Bedrock Energistics Core powered add-on to generate energy for your system.

Close

Fluid Storage

-Fluids are stored on Fluid Storage Disks placed in Fluid Storage Drives, and can be viewed through the Fluid Storage Interface.

-Uses Bedrock Energistics Core fluids.

-This add-on does not add any way to generate fluids, you must include another Bedrock Energistics Core powered add-on to generate fluids for your system.

Close

Fluid Storage Drive

-Holds up to eight fluid storage disks. Disks are what actually store the network's fluids.

-Drops its disks when destroyed.

Close

Fluid Storage Import Bus

-Imports fluids from connected machines into the storage network.

-Stops importing when receiving a redstone current.

Close

Fluid Storage Export Bus

-Exports fluids from the storage network into connected machines.

-Stops exporting when receiving a redstone current.

-Exports up to 10 mL at a time.

-Interact with an empty hand to configure.

Close

Fluid Storage Disks

-A standard fluid storage disk stores up to 6,400 mL of fluid across up to 4 types. A high capacity fluid storage disk stores up to 12,800 mL across up to 8 types.

-Put fluid storage disks in a fluid storage drive.

-Upgrade a standard fluid storage disk into a high capacity one with the Disk Upgrader, keeping its stored fluids.
